West Side and Ridglea Area Water and Sewer Improvements

Water and sanitary sewer mains will be replaced in an area bound by Normandale Street and W Loop 820 South to the west, Clarke Avenue to the north, Simondale Drive and Texas Christian University to the east and West Berry Street to the south.

The affected area includes the following streets, alleys and easements.

Council District 3

• North Normandale Street from La Palma Drive to Crosstie Circle (water and sewer)
• Bryant Irvin Road North from Camp Bowie Boulevard to 170 feet south of Donnelly Avenue (water and sewer)
• North Westcliff Road from Bellaire Drive to Simondale Drive (water and sewer)
• Easement between Davenport Avenue and Gaston Avenue from 176 feet east of Penrose Avenue to east 610 feet (sewer)
• Easement between Southwest Boulevard and Marks Place from 125 feet south of Brazos Avenue to south 680 feet (sewer)
• Garza Avenue from Fairfax Street southwesterly 690 feet (sewer)
• Easement west of Angus Avenue from north 220 feet of the Shannon Drive/Angus Drive intersection  to west 120 feet then south 145 feet (sewer)
• Calmont Avenue from Bigham Boulevard to Ridglea Avenue (water and sewer)
• Oakton Road from Middle Road to Chickering Road (water and sewer)
• Easement between Stonedale Road and East Clayton Road from 120 feet northeasterly of the Rowan Drive/Middle Road intersection to northeasterly 190 feet (sewer)
• Taxco Road from Dakar Road to Plaza Parkway (water and sewer)
• Easement east of Lands End Boulevard from the I-30 westbound service road to northeasterly 220 feet (sewer)

Council District 6

• Alley between Libbey Avenue and Blackmore Avenue from 260 feet east of Bourine Street to east 670 feet (sewer)
• Alley between Blackmore Avenue and Humbert Avenue from Bourine Street to east 1,240 feet (sewer)

Council District 7

Easement between Washington Terrace and Thomas Place from Camp Bowie  Boulevard to Hermosa Street (sewer)

Construction may impact the Como neighborhood association, Ridglea North neighborhood association, Ridglea Area neighborhood alliance, Colonial Hills neighborhood association, Bomber Heights neighborhood association, West Side Alliance and Crestline neighborhood association. 

Project landmarks include Texas Christian University,  Rivercrest Country Club, Luella Merrett Elementary School and Lake Como Park.
