CO Fire Safety

Welcome to the Fort Worth Fire Department home on the internet. I hope you take the time to visit the various areas available to you. Whether you are looking for information on becoming a member of our team, want to know how to keep your home safe, or just need to get a copy of a fire report, you will find the answers right here.

The Fort Worth Fire Department protects one of the fastest growing metropolitan areas in the country with a wide range of services, including: emergency preparedness, education, prevention, and response. Covering 345 square miles with a dedicated workforce of more than 900 employees, the department has become one of the most efficient and respected in America.

After our humble beginnings as a volunteer department in 1873, we have provided professional service to our citizens and visitors alike since 1893. Since that time, just like the City of Fort Worth itself, we have grown and evolved. Rest assured that we stand ready 24/7 to respond to any emergency.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions

Rudolph "Rudy" Jackson, Jr.
Fire Chief
