The City of Fort Worth wants you to have a happy and safe Fourth of July celebration.
Each July Fourth, thousands of people, most often children and teens, are injured while using consumer fireworks. Unfortunately, despite the dangers of fireworks, many people disregard the associated risks - devastating burns, other injuries, fires, and even death.
Fort Worth Fire Chief Rudy Jackson urges citizens to “Protect your children, protect yourself, protect your property by attending a professional fireworks show.”

Also, consumer fireworks are illegal in the City of Fort Worth and within 5,000 feet of the City limits. Please do not buy fireworks and bring them back into the City of Fort Worth.
Per the Fort Worth Fire Code, section 3301, it is illegal It is unlawful for any person to possess, use, manufacture, sell, offer for sale, give away, transport, and/or discharge fireworks of any description. Violation of this ordinance is a Class C misdemeanor carrying a fine of up to $2,000 for each citation. Not to mention potential liability for any injuries or property damage caused by use of fireworks.
The Fort Worth Fire and Police Departments will team up to form Fireworks Patrols. Violators will receive a ticket and their fireworks will be confiscated. Tickets for fireworks violations will cost you up to $2000 each. To report a fireworks violation, call 817-922-3000.
