Residential Accessory Building Permit
Residential accessory building permits include items like storage buildings, detached garages, gazebos, patio covers, decks, carports and pool houses.
Energy Code Compliance documents are required for any conditioned or lighted space.
Residential Accessory Structure permits are not eligible for online submission at this time. Apply in person at City Hall.
What is needed
Bring two copies of complete plans (including site plans), an 11-by-17-inch copy of the floor plan, three full-size site plans, three full-size site plans, one 11-by-17 inch version of the site plan, two full-sized certified copies of the properties legally recorded plat, and two copies of the energy compliance documents.

Electrical, mechanical and plumbing fees include a Fee Estimation worksheet. You can estimate your building permit fees by selecting the Building Fee Estimator link. You will need to know the occupancy code for commercial construction permit fee estimates. For residential, occupancy code R is for the dwelling structure and occupancy code U is for garage, carport or other structure.
