Taste and odor of drinking water no longer an issue
Updated: February 26, 2014
The taste and odor issues in Fort Worth’s water supply are over. In the past three weeks, the geosmin levels in both the raw water and treated water had fallen to levels that did not create a problem. Tarrant Regional Water District completed work on the Richland-Chamber transmission line. As of Feb. 24, the Rolling Hills Water Treatment Plant has returned to its usual blend of source water from Cedar Creek Lake and Richland-Chambers Reservoir. Water from Lake Benbrook is not being treated at the facility.
