Capital Projects

The City of Fort Worth is one of the fastest growing cities in the nation, and infrastructure and capital facilities play a critical part in that continued growth.

The construction projects in these pages are projects that the city has funded, and committed to complete in the coming years. They include everything from the creation of new buildings and infrastructure, to the maintenance and upkeep of existing facilities.

23rd Street Sewer Main Replacement

A sanitary sewer main is being replaced on 23rd Street, south of the Fort Worth Stockyards.

5th, Carroll & Merrimac Streets Storm Drain Improvements

This is a project to update storm water pipe at several locations.

7th Street at Burnett Storm Drain Rehabilitation

This project will rehabilitate an existing storm drain pipe under 7th St between Lexington St and Cherry St and 6th St between Cherry St and Burnett St.

8th Avenue Safety and Circulation Improvements

Safety and Circulation improvements will be installed along 8th
Ave from Pennsylvania Ave to Cooper St and at the intersection
of 8th Ave and Mistletoe Blvd. This work includes roadway and
sidewalk improvements as well as landscaping enhancements.

Alamo Heights and Riverside Alliance Water and Sewer Improvements

This project encompasses two areas. The western part is in Alamo Heights, between Chisholm Trail Parkway and I-30. It is bound by Wirfield Street to the west, Alamo Avenue to the north, Bedford Street to the east and Lisbon Street to the south. The eastern part is in the Riverside Alliance area, between State Hwy. 121/Airport Freeway and the Trinity Railway Express line. It is bound by Blevins Str

Alemeda Street Stormwater Improvements

Culvert improvements are proposed for Alemeda
Street south of Camp Bowie West Boulevard to address
existing hazards from flood waters overtopping
this location. In conjunction with the culvert
improvements, the road will be widened and realigned
so that it lines up with Alemeda Street north of Camp
Bowie West.

Altamesa Blvd & Woodway Dr Intersection

Lanes, traffic signals and pedestrian safety improvements coming to this intersection.

Altamesa Boulevard & Crowley Road Intersection Improvements

Enhancements to the existing intersection at Altamesa Boulevard and Crowley Road (FM731)will be implemented. These enhancements include adding additional left-turn lanes and other recommended improvements.

Altamesa Pump Station Backup Power and Electric Improvements

The Altamesa Pump Station is one of four large City of Fort Worth pump stations that are essential for water supply. The Altamesa Pump Station requires replacement of aging electrical switchgear and motor as well as backup generators. Improvements are vital to keep the pump stations operating if there is another deep freeze similar to the one that Fort Worth experienced in February 2021.

Altura to Lanark Foster Park Area Water and Sewer Improvements

Existing water and sewer mains will be replaced in an area bound by Altura Road to the north, Hildring Drive East to the east, Lanark Avenue to the south and South Drive to the west. This project is in the Foster Park neighborhood association area.

This is a project to update storm water pipe at several locations.

7th Street at Burnett Storm Drain Rehabilitation

This project will rehabilitate an existing storm drain pipe under 7th St between Lexington St and Cherry St and 6th St between Cherry St and Burnett St.

Alemeda Street Stormwater Improvements

Carroll & W 6th St Storm Water Pipe Repairs

Storm water pipe repairs and pavement fixes will be made on Carroll St. between W 6th and W 7th streets.

Central Arlington Heights Property Acquisition & Drainage Improvements

Voluntary property acquisition project to acquire flood-prone properties on Western and Carleton between Bryce and El Campo.

Comanche Trail HROM

Hazardous Road Overtopping Mitigation (HROM) and culvert improvements at Comanche Trail between Malaga Drive and Marina Drive.

Dickson and Hemphill Drainage Improvements

Existing pipe needs joint repair for water main utility intrusions. The pipe will also require structural stabilization.

Grand Avenue Drainage Improvements

This project is phase 2 of the Fort Worth Central City and Grand Ave. A new outfall line will be created to replace the Calhoun Trunk line.

Greenfield Acres Drainage Improvements

An underground storm drain system will be constructed on Cindy Lane, from Ten Mile Bridge to North Ridge Road, and on East North Hill Lane.

Greenleaf Drainage Improvements

This City project is part of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Central City Flood Control Project in preparation for the future bypass channel relocation.

Haltom Road Flood Protection Project

Road conditions will be enhanced along Haltom Road to increase drainage and prevent storm water from flooding the roadway. This project is also referred to as a hazardous road over-topping mitigation or HROM.

Lebow Channel Flood Mitigation

The Lebow Channel project seeks to mitigate flooding from the channel by increasing the width and depth of the channel, improving each roadway crossing and providing a detention pond at Long Avenue.

Lebow Channel Improvements at 28th Street

The Lebow Channel improvements project is located near 28th and Decatur Avenue on Lebow Channel and is currently being evaluated for feasibility via the project development program.

Linwood and West 7th Flood Mitigation

The goal is to identify effective, affordable and acceptable project phases that can be implemented to mitigate the structure flooding.

Main Street Drainage Improvements

This City project is part of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Central City Flood Control Project in preparation for the future bypass channel relocation.

McCart Berry Flood Mitigation

The project seeks to mitigate flooding in the McCart Avenue and Berry Street area.

NE 23rd Street Drainage Improvements

Existing storm drain pipe is deteriorating and the headwall has collapsed.

Pharr Street Drainage

A cave has developed over a storm drain pipe and is in need of repair. TPW-Storm Water will have to investigate to see the extent of the problem and how many feet will need to be repaired.

Quail Road @ Lake Arlington

Quail Road will be raised and larger storm drains will be constructed. Located next to Lake Arlington.

Randol Mill Rd HROM

Hazardous Road Overtopping Mitigation (HROM) Improvements are planned to prevent storm water flowing over Randol Mill Road. The portion of the road from West of Ben's Trail to near Flyaway Lane will be realigned and raised.

S Cravens Road HROM

Hazardous Road Overtopping Mitigation (HROM) or Drainage Improvements and road widening

Thomas at Calmont Storm Drain Rehabilitation

Existing storm drain pipe is deteriorating and crosses residential lots. It will be relocated to within City right of way and the existing pipe will be taken out of service.

University Dr & BRIT Drainage project

This project involves the replacement of the entire pipe to provide a better storm drain system.

Viola Drainage Improvements

This City project is part of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Central City Flood Control Project in preparation for the future bypass channel relocation.

Westcliff Drainage Improvements

This project is a multi-phase project to reduce flooding in the Westcliff South drainage basin.

Westcreek Channel Rehabilitation

Maintenance work on the drainage channels Westcreek-Altamesa Channel (from Altamesa Blvd to Westcreek Park) and McCart Channel (from McCart Ave to Woodmont Park) to discuss .

Park, Recreation & Community Center Improvements

Bomber Spur Trail - Phase 1

The City of Fort Worth Park & Recreation Department's scope of the project includes, but is not limited to, 12-foot-width concrete paved ADA accessible trail, 3’ wide shoulder on both side of the trail, trail structures and signage.

Centreport Trail Phase 1

The City of Fort Worth Park & Recreation Department is working with the City of Arlington and the City of Grand Prairie to connect TRE Centreport Station to the intersection at Trinity Blvd and Elm Street, while also connecting to River Legacy Trail in Arlington.

Centreport Trail Phase 2

The scope of the project includes extending the Centreport Trail from the phase 1 terminus at the Centreport TRE Station to the city limits of Fort Worth and Grand Prairie.

Chuck Silcox Park Playground Improvements

The scope of the project includes, but is not limited to, improvements to the playground at Chuck Silcox Park.

Cobb Park Parking & Road Improvements

The scope of the project includes, but is not limited to, parking and road repairs, minor grading work to improve drainage in some areas, and rock gabion mattress and concrete flume to mitigate erosion issues.

Coventry Hills Park Improvements

The scope of the project includes, but is not limited to, the planning and construction of a new playground and trail.

Dredging @ Foster, Candleridge, Oakland, and Pecan Valley Golf Course

The City of Fort Worth Park & Recreation Department's scope of the project includes, but is not limited to, using dredging services to maintain drainage systems, reduce the risk of flooding throughout the City and improve the ecological environment in our lakes and ponds. Four sites will use dredging services: Candleridge Park, Foster Park, Oakland Park, and Pecan Valley Golf Course.

Edgewood Park Improvements

The City of Fort Worth is improving the existing Edgewood Park.

Fire Station Community Center

The scope of the project will include demolition of the existing facility and the design of a new facility and associated site improvements, including but not limited to, gymnasium, fitness area, fitness equipment and meeting rooms. The Project may also include the preservation, renovation, and expansion of portions of the existing facility.

Forest Park Boulevard Tree Planting Project

The scope of the project includes, but is not limited to, improving the access to riverside pathways and nearby neighborhoods while maintaining a sense of openness and serenity. Adjustments to the road configuration, including a bicycle lane and crosswalks, will establish a more pedestrian- and bicycle- friendly environment.

Forest Park Pool Replacement Design

The scope of the project includes, but is not limited to, demolition of existing facilities and design and construction of outdoor aquatics facilities and associated amenities, including, but not limited to, eight (8) fifty (50) meter length swim lanes, active water play elements, interactive play area with tube slide, changing rooms and associated infrastructure.

Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge Boardwalk Expansion

The City of Fort Worth is expanding the boardwalk at Nature Center & Refuge as well as adding a pavilion and trails.

Gateway Park Development

The City of Fort Worth Park & Recreation Department's scope of the project includes, but is not limited to, update the Gateway Park Master Plan and initial development, as prioritized through the
master plan process. The updated master plan will consider previous master plan inclusions, interim improvements made and future
improvements as defined through the public input process.

Glenwood Park Improvement Project

The scope of the project includes, but is not limited to, developing of a Master Plan for future improvements to the park.

Heritage and Paddock Parks Project

The scope of the project includes, but is not limited to, reconstruction of the central plaza and stairs of Paddock, a new pedestrian crossing connecting the two parks, landscaping improvements, ADA accessible walkways, new turf irrigation, lighting and electrical access, and water features.

Highland Hill Park Road & Parking Improvements

The scope of the project includes, but is not limited to, parking and road repairs and minor grading work to improve drainage in some areas.

Kingsridge Reserve Park Development

The scope of the project includes, but is not limited to, the preparation of bid documents, advertisement of bids and administration of a construction contract.

Lake Worth Trail Phase 1C

The scope of the project will include a trail the connects Marion Sansom Park to Camp Carter, including but not limited to, 10' wide concrete trail and sidewalk, erosion control, signage, retaining wall and drainage.

Lebow Park Playground Improvements

The scope of the project includes, but is not limited to, improvements to the playground at Lebow Park.

Marine Creek Lake Park Development

The scope of the project includes, but is not limited to, the preparation of bid documents, advertisement of bids and administration of a construction contract.

McLeland Tennis Center Indoor Court Resurfacing Project

The scope of the project includes, but is not limited to, resurfacing of the indoor courts.

McLeland Tennis Center Outdoor Court Improvement Project

The scope of the project includes, but is not limited to, a structural assessment of outdoor courts.

Meadowbrook Golf Course Renovations

The City of Fort Worth is renovating Meadowbrook Golf Course with construction set to start in March of 2024.

MLK Park Capital Improvement Project

The scope of the project includes, but is not limited to, master planning the central area of the park to accommodate the relocation of the existing community center to an alternative site. Additionally, we will integrate a selection of new park amenities into the design.

Mosier Valley Park Improvements

The scope of the project includes, but is not limited to, the planning and construction of a new playground and trail.

Oak Grove Construction Project

The scope of the project includes, but is not limited to, developing of a Master Plan and Phase 1 construction documents at Oak Grove Park.

Parkwood East Park Development

The City of Fort Worth is developing Parkwood East Park.

The scope of the project will include installing security lighting across 21 Park & Recreation sites across the city of Fort Worth.

Smiley Park Project

The scope of the project includes, but is not limited to, a soccer field, outdoor dining area, ping pong table, benches, a bike rack, a playground, and other miscellaneous improvements.

Sycamore Park - Phase 2

The City of Fort Worth Park & Recreation Department's scope of the project includes, but is not limited to, an iconic hilltop pavilion with associated trails, ramps, lighting and electrical supply, soil
borings, grading, potable water supply, site furnishings, Port-a-pot enclosure, landscaping, and structural engineering.

Thomas Place Park Improvements

The City of Fort Worth is improving the existing Thomas Place Park.

Tim Watson Reserve Park Development

The City of Fort Worth Park & Recreation Department is developing Tim Watson Park a reserve park for future amenities.

Timberland Park Master Plan

The scope of the project includes, but is not limited to, a master plan to develop the newly acquired park land. Meetings with the community to determine their priorities for the park will establish the remainder of the scope.

Trail Lake Estates Park Development

The City of Fort Worth Park & Recreation is developing Trail Lake Estates Park.

Trinity Park Road & Parking Improvements

The scope of the project includes, but is not limited to, repairs to River Drive, Cottonwood Drive, Cedar Elm Road, River Drive Parking Lots, Trinity Park Drive Parking Lots, and Trinity Park Drive.

Trinity Trails - Phase 2 River Trails Park to River Legacy Park

Phase 2 of the Trinity Trail project involves connecting River Trails Park to River Legacy Park.

Victory Forest Community Center Improvements

The City of Fort Worth Park & Recreation Department's scope is miscellaneous improvements to Victory Forest Community Center.

Vineyards of Heritage Park Development

Design and construction of safety and capacity improvements at the Basswood Boulevard crossing of the UPRR at the intersection of US 377 and at the Kroger Drive Crossing of the UPRR at the intersection of US 377.

Beach St @ Ray White Intersection Project

The project scope includes installation of new traffic signal and improvements to pedestrian crosswalks and paths.

Belmont Area Street Improvements

Street improvements are coming to the Belmont Neighborhood Association and United Communities Association area.

Benton Avenue, Near Southside Infrastructure Improvements

Improvements include rehabilitation of existing asphalt pavement, new curb and gutter, driveways and replacement of water/sewer mains and services on the following streets: Benton Avenue - Hampshire to Old Handley House Street - Panola to Cul-de-sac Windowmere Street - Benton to Springfield

Beverly, Harvey and Alley Infrastructure Improvements

Existing water and sewer mains will be replaced in an area bound by I-35W South Freeway to the west, Hwy. 287/Martin L. King Jr. Freeway to the east, East Allen Avenue to the north and Glen Garden Drive to the south.

Bluebonnet & Carter Park Street Improvements

This project involves the design of water, sewer and paving improvements on ten neighborhood streets.

Bomber Heights & Overton Park Street Improvements

Improvements in this project include rehabilitation of existing asphalt pavement, new curb and gutter, driveways and replacement of water/sewer mains and services on select streets.

Bonds Ranch Road Improvements Phase 2

Road work on Bonds Ranch Road from US 287 to Shire Meadow Drive has been completed. Work continues on miscellaneous drainage improvements.

Bonds Ranch Road Widening Improvements

Bonds Ranch Road will be widened to a four-lane road from Wagley Robertson Road to US 287.

Bowman Roberts Sidewalk Project

Install wider sidewalk on Bowman Roberts Rd from Amberjack Trail to Bluegill Dr.

Bridge Improvements - Main, Henderson & Jennings Ave.

The historic Main St. Bridge railings will be redone in partnership with Near Southside Inc. as part of a larger Main St. improvement project.

Bryant Irvin @ Oakmont Blvd Project

Additional left turn lanes, median work, traffic signal upgrades, accessible pedestrian signals (APS) and ADA compliant ramps are part of this intersection project.

Business 287 and Northside Drive HSIP

The project scope includes improvements to traffic signal, APS, ADA ramps, sidewalk and pavement markings.

Camp Bowie Blvd @ Bryant Irvin Rd Project

This project will construct new left turn lanes for the northbound and southbound approaches, as well as an additional westbound left turn lane utilizing the existing concrete median.

Camp Bowie Blvd @ Horne St Project

This major intersection reconstruction project includes left turn lanes, right lane access, road widening and additional features.

Camp Bowie Brick Improvements

The project provides for the design and paving improvements on the historic bricks found along Camp Bowie.

Campus Drive Sidewalk Project

Provide a pedestrian corridor along Campus Dr. and East Seminary Dr. west of Mansfield Hwy (BUS 287).

Cantrell Sansom Road

Widen Cantrell Sansom Road between Mark IV Parkway and the future IH 35W southbound frontage road. The widening will consist of adding two westbound and two eastbound lanes.

CentrePort East Project

The proposed project provides for reconstruction of failing concrete on Trinity Blvd from Amon Carter to Grand River Road.

Cromwell Marine Creek Road Widening

A four-lane divided road from Bowman Roberts Rd. to S. Chesterfield Dr. with two-lane roundabouts at Bowman Roberts and Huffines Blvd. will be constructed.

Crowley Road & Altamesa Boulevard Intersection Improvements

Intersection improvements including new left turn lanes, accessible ramps and crosswalks, and new traffic signals.

Crowley Road & Sycamore School Road Intersection Improvements

Reconstruction of portions of the Crowley Road and Sycamore School Road intersection including additional left turn lanes and new signalization.

Downtown Brick and Street Improvements

The project provides for the design and paving improvements on the historic bricks found throughout the City.

Downtown Street Resurfacing Program 2023

This project is the last phase of a four-year program started in 2020 for improvements to the downtown Fort Worth streets.

E Berry St @ Riverside Dr Intersection Improvements

Intersection improvements will improve the flow of traffic and pedestrian safety.

E. Berry & E. Seminary Dr Sidewalks

Provide a pedestrian corridor along E Berry and E Seminary Dr from Cole St. to Fair Park Blvd.

E. Lancaster Avenue Street Light Improvements

This project includes designing and constructing the street light at East Lancaster Avenue from Pine Street to Riverside Drive to promote safety and security.

East 4th St /1st St Bike Lane

This project includes the installation of an on-street bicycle lane, shared use path and sidewalk connections on East 4th Street/East 1st Street from I-35W to Haltom Road.

East Northside Drive Bridge Replacement

Full bridge replacement on East Northside Drive over Samuels Ave.

Everman Parkway Project

Everman Parkway will be extended from Rosedale Spring Lane to Cameron Hill Point for improved mobility and connectivity.

Forest Hill @ Royal Crest Dr Intersection

This project includes reconstructing the intersection to create dedicated northbound and southbound left turn lanes.

Forest Park and West 10th St Traffic Signal

The project scope includes installation of new traffic signal and ADA ramps at the intersection. It also includes improvements to pedestrian facilities like sidewalk, ADA ramps and crosswalks.

Fort Worth & Western Railroad Quiet Zone

Project to construct railroad crossing quiet zone improvements at Mistletoe Blvd, Park Place Ave and Windsor Place.

Fossil Creek Concrete Restoration

Concrete Restoration of Fossil Creek Boulevard from I-35 Service lane to North Riverside Drive and From North Riverside Drive to North Beach Street

Glencrest Civic League Area Street Improvements

This project will include street improvements for 11 streets in Council District 8.

Golden Triangle Boulevard

An arterial, a four-lane high-capacity road, will be constructed from I-35 to Misty Redwood Trail.

Grand Avenue Sidewalk Project

New sidewalk build near Oakwood Cemetery along North Grand Ave. to Main St.

Haltom Rd Railroad Crossing Improvements

Safety improvements at the intersection of the Trinity Railway Express (TRE) railroad and Haltom Road.

Handley Area Streets Project

The proposed project provides for the design of water, sewer, and paving improvements on nine neighborhood streets and four alleys.

Hardy St & Cleckler Ave Sidewalks

Design plans include installation of a sidewalk, ADA ramps and driveway reconstruction on Hardy Street and Cleckler Avenue.

Harmon Road Widening

Harmon Road has been rebuilt as a four-lane road from Golden Triangle Boulevard to US287.

Harriet Creek Ranch Street Project

The proposed project provides for reconstruction of failing concrete along Harriet Creek Dr. streets located in Council District 10.

Historic Southside Improvements

Neighborhood Street improvements coming to thirteen streets in Council Districts 8 and 11.

Horne Street Improvements

This TxDOT and City project will modify some roadway sections to three lanes. Improvements to signals, landscape, pedestrian and bike lanes.

Intermodal Parkway Alliance Improvements

The project involves the construction of two new lanes and complete reconstruction of existing lanes, creating an upgraded four lane Arterial between the BNSF yard entrances ion the west and Old Blue mound Road on the East end of the project.

John T White Rd & Sandy Ln Traffic Signal

A new traffic signal, ADA ramps and safety improvements being installed at the intersection.

Keller Hicks Road Improvements

A two phase project on Keller Hicks Road. Phase 1: Lauren Way to US 377. Phase 2: Park Vista to Lauren Way

Kroger Drive - COMPLETE

Design and construction of capacity improvements on Kroger Drive between Ray White Road and Park Vista Circle.

Las Vegas Trail at Normandale

This project will replace the current stop and yield intersection with a hybrid roundabout consisting of dual and single lanes. The project will also include pedestrian improvements, xeriscape, and public art.

Long Avenue Bridge Rehabilitation

This project will replace the E. Long Avenue bridge deck over the railroad and rehabilitate the roadway approach.

Long Avenue Pedestrian Improvements

This project spans Long Avenue from Azle Ave. to Angle Ave. It involves many new safety upgrades and improvements for pedestrians.

Main Street Downtown Intersections

This project is funded by Tarrant County and the City. Seven intersections will be upgraded for pedestrian safety and traffic flow.

Marine Creek Pkwy & Angle Streets

Concrete pavement reconstruction on the southbound lane and on the Northbound Lane of Marine Creek Parkway/ Angle Ave (Nautilus Circle - Old Denton Road).

Marine Creek Pkwy & NW Loop 820

Intersection improvements at IH-820 and Marine Creek Parkway.The project has two (2) Phases.

McCart Ave & Altamesa Blvd Intersection Project

Clear Fork Lift Station and Force Main

This project has two parts - a lift station and force main. The two will help eliminate sanitary sewer overflows and handle both normal and peak flow conditions.

Cleckler and North Riverside Drive Sewer Improvements

An existing sanitary sewer main will be removed, and replaced, in an easement between North Riverside Drive and Cleckler Avenue. This easement is in Fort Worth Council District 11.

Existing water and sewer mains will be replaced in an area bound by I-35W South Freeway to the west, Northeast Parkway to the north, the Fort Worth and Western Railroad to the east and East Jessamine Street to the south. This is a cast iron water main removal project.

Diamond Hill Jarvis Area - NE 37th St to Terminal Road - Water & Sewer

Existing water and sewer mains will be replaced in an area bound by Terminal Road and Schadt Court to the north, Schwartz Avenue to the east, NE 37th Street to the south and Blue Mound Road to the west. The project is predominantly residential. Landmarks include W. A. Meacham Middle School, MH Moore Elementary School, Diamond Hill Community Center and Diamond Hill Park.

The project area includes Diamond Hill-Jarvis High School, WA Meacham Middle School, MH Moore Elementary School, and Diamond Hill-Jarvis Fort Worth Public Library.

Existing water and sewer mains will be replaced in Fort Worth Council District 2 in an area bound by Terminal Road to the north, Runnels Street and Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railroad to the east, Eva Street to the south and Schwartz Avenue to the west.

Downtown Fort Worth Water and Sewer Main Replacements

Cast iron water mains – ranging in diameter from 16 inches to 42 inches in diameter – will be replaced in Downtown Fort Worth. The project area is bound by Henderson Street at West Weatherford Street to the north, Lancaster Avenue to the south, Cherry Street to the east and Fournier Street at 10th Street to the west.

Downtown Infrastructure Improvements

This Fort Worth Water capital improvement project is in the City of Fort Worth and the City of River Oaks. The water and sewer mains are maintained by the City of Fort Worth. Existing water and sewer mains will be replaced in an area bound by NW 27th Street to the north, Ephriham Court and Belle Avenue to the east, Yale Street at River Oaks Boulevard to the south and Grayson Avenue to the west.

Everman Parkway Water Transmission Main

A 16-inch water transmission main is being constructed, from east to west, to extend the existing 16-inch water main on Everman Parkway. This will provide for increased water delivery in the distribution system.

Lake Arlington Gravity Main

Portions of the existing wastewater collection system serving the Village Creek Wastewater Basin are at capacity. Increased capacity is necessary to handle projected growth within the basin, which also includes the wholesale customer cities of Burleson and Crowley. The Lake Arlington Lift Station Gravity Main has two parts, the downstream gravity main and the upstream gravity main.

A lift station is used to pump wastewater or sewage from a lower level or elevation to a higher level.

Marine Creek Drainage Basin Phase 2 Part 2 Improvements

This Marine Creek Drainage Basin Phase 2/Part 2 Improvement project includes building a parallel sanitary sewer main that will replace a severely deteriorated sanitary sewer main located immediately downstream of the project main. The construction is bound by Ten Mile Bridge Road to the north and east, Marine Creek Lake and Park to the south, and stops short of Huffines Boulevard to the west.

Growth within west Fort Worth and its Extra Territorial Jurisdiction (ETJ) requires continuous improvements to the water distribution system in order to provide and maintain reliable water service to existing and proposed developments within the Westside III, IV, and V pressure planes.

Existing water and sewer mains will be replaced in a 3-block area of Marquita Drive, which is located east of AltaMere Drive and west of Bonnie Drive.

The northernmost area is between East Lancaster Avenue and Interstate 30 - bound by Toronto Street to the west and Ben Avenue to the east. Miller Avenue to Trueland Drive Area Water & Sewer Improvements

This project encompasses the replacement of existing 16-inch in diameter up to 24-inch in diameter cast iron water mains -as well as aging sewer mains in an area bound by Forbes Street to the north, Griggs Avenue to the east, Martin Street to the south, and Trueland Drive to the west. The Eastwood elevated storage tank serves the northern area and the Timberline tank serves the southern area.

This project includes the replacement of smaller diameter cast iron water mains and deteriorated sanitary sewer mains along the alignment of the proposed 30-inch water main.

North Saginaw Boulevard 24-inch Water Transmission Main

The North Saginaw Boulevard 24-inch water transmission main, Phase 1B will extend from the Business US 287/Heritage Trace Parkway intersection to a location near the Business US 287/Bonds Ranch Road intersection.

North Side - 38th Street to 34th Street - Water and Sewer Improvements

Existing sewer mains and water mains will be replaced in an area bound by NE 38th Street and Fort Worth Meacham International Airport to the north, Decatur Avenue to the east, NE 34th Street to the south and Main Street/Business 287 to the west.

North Side - Ellis Avenue Area - Water and Sewer Improvements

Existing water and sanitary sewer mains will be replaced in an area bound by NW 26th Street to the north, North Main Street to the east, East Central Avenue to the south and Clinton Avenue to the west. Ellis Avenue is the focus. Landmarks include the Stockyards, Fire Station #12 and Marine Creek.

The Texas Department of Transportation entered into an agreement with North Tarrant Express Mobility Partners (NTEMP) to identify and construct highway improvements in the northeastern part of Tarrant County, including portions of Interstate 35W, Interstate 20, and State Hwy. 183 corridors within the city of Fort Worth.

This alignment study includes the proposed water transmission main that would extend from the Eagle Mountain Water Treatment Plant (6801 Bowman Roberts Road) at the southwest end, to the existing 36-inch in diameter Northside III water main at Willow Springs Road at the Blue Mound Road West intersection to the northeast.

Northside, Circle Ridge and Johns Way Water and Sewer Improvements

Deteriorated water and/or sewer mains will be replaced in the North Fort Worth area, adjacent to Lake Worth, Sansom Park and River Oaks.

Oak Grove, Savage and Glasgow Area Water and Sewer Improvements

Existing water and sanitary sewer mains will be replaced in an area bound by Oak Grove Road and SE Loop 820 to the north, Oak Grove Road West to the east, Glasgow Road to the south and I-35W South Freeway and SE Loop 820 to the west. Landmarks include Highland Hills Baptist Church and East St Paul Baptist Church.

Park Hill Drive & 8th Avenue Infrastructure Improvements

Water and/or sewer mains will be replaced in the Park Hill Drive and 8th Avenue area. This area is bound by West Jessamine Street to the north, West Cantey Street to the south, Shirley Avenue to the west, and 8th Avenue to the east.

Reed Street and Hatcher Street Water and Sewer Improvements

This project was created as part of the water cast iron pipe initiative to reduce the amount of water main breaks. Fort Worth Water management has committed to replacing a minimum of 20 miles of cast iron pipe every year.

Richardson Slough Lift Station and 20-inch Sewer Force Main

The Richardson Slough lift station modification/20-inch in diameter sanitary sewer force main project will provide services to future development, including to the proposed Tavolo Park subdivision. This capital improvement project is in southwest Fort Worth – southeast of the Columbus Trail and Old Granbury Road intersection and west of Chisholm Trail Parkway.

Richmond, Baltimore, Arlington and Delaware Area Water and Sewer

Existing water and sanitary sewer mains will be replaced in an area bound by Elmwood Avenue to the north, Delaware Avenue and the Fort Worth and Western Railroad to the east, East Davis Avenue to the south and I-35W South Freeway to the west. Carroll Peak Elementary School is in the project area.

River District and River Heights Area Water and Sewer Improvements

Existing water and sewer mains will be replaced in an area bound by White Settlement Road to the north, Merritt Street to the east and the West Fork Trinity River to the south and west. This project is in Council District 7. Construction may impact the River District neighborhood association and River Heights HOA.

River Trails Area Sewer Main Replacement

Fort Worth Water will replace two 15-inch in diameter ductile iron sanitary sewer mains in easements in the River Trails Park area. The easement is south of Trinity Boulevard and northeast of the West Fork of the Trinity River. The replacement is 320 feet west and 150 feet south of the Sabinas Trail/Salado Trail intersection, then southeast 2,215 feet then south 675 feet.

Water mains and sewer mains will be replaced in an area that is bound by East 1st Street to the north, North Riverside Drive to the east, Huffman Street to the south, and the Trinity River and Sylvania Avenue to the west.

The Southside II Water Main Alignment Study focuses on the alignment of a proposed water transmission main that would stretch from just south of Oak Grove Shelby Road in Fort Worth, south to Alsbury Boulevard in Burleson.

State Hwy. 170 Water Main Crossing Relocations Part 3

Water and sewer mains will be extended to the area of Shoreview Drive and Hatch Road.

Stop 6 and Historic Rosedale Water and Sewer Improvements

Existing water and sanitary sewer mains will be replaced on streets and in alleys in an area bound by Elgin Street to the north, Carverly Drive to the east, Wiman Drive and East Berry Street to the south and Hatcher Street to the west.

Summer Creek Drive and Southside IV Flow Transfer Station

This capital improvement project includes a transfer station and pipe improvements. The purpose of the transfer station will be to maintain water quality in the developing Southside IV pressure plane as well as support the operation of the new Southside IV Booster Pump Station.

Sycamore Creek Phase 4A & 4B Wastewater Improvements

This is the fourth phase of the Sycamore Creek Sewer Relief Improvement project. Phase 4 focuses on design of the southernmost end of the 66-inch parallel relief Sycamore Creek Sanitary Sewer Relief main. These interceptors will parallel the existing sewer main.

Sycamore Creek Sewer Rehabilitation

The existing sanitary sewer lines - from I-30 south to the I-35/I-20 interchange, which includes the Sycamore Creek Wastewater Improvement project – will be rehabilitated. The existing lines parallel the new lines that are being constructed. This is Phase 4.

Sycamore Creek South Wastewater Improvements

This is Phase 3 of the four-phase Sycamore Creek Sewer Rehabilitation project. This phase stretches from East Vickery Boulevard on the north end to Cobb Park Drive, just south of Hwy. 287, on the southern end.

Tavolo Park Sewer Main Improvements

A 30-inch in diameter sanitary sewer main will be rehabilitated - or replaced - in an area that is bound by Altamesa Boulevard to the north, Harris Parkway to the east, Columbus Trail at Old Granbury Road to the south and Quail Ridge Road to the west. This is in the Tavolo Park and The Chisholm at Tavolo Park area.

TCU Area Water and Sewer Improvements

Existing water and sanitary sewer mains will be replaced in the TCU area. The improvement area is bound by West Bowie Street to the north, Cleburne Road and Gordon Avenue to the east, Benbrook Boulevard to the south and Stadium Drive to the west. Landmarks include TCU, Trinity Episcopal Church, Paschal High School, restaurants, businesses and hotels.

Tierney, Vaughn, Fitzhugh and Stonegate Water and Sewer Improvements

Existing water and sanitary sewer mains will be replaced in an area bound by Randol Mill Road to the north, Williams Road to the east, Crenshaw Avenue to the south and Binkley Street to the west.

Trinity Boulevard 36-inch Water Main Relocation, Phase 1 and Phase 2

This project is the construction of the Trinity Boulevard 36-inch water main relocation, Phase 1 and Phase 2,

Trinity Boulevard Area Sewer Main Relocation

Design work is underway to reroute an existing siphon - exposed and close to failure – on a sewer main located north of the TRE railroad line, just west of Hwy. 360.

Upper Big Fossil Creek Wastewater Improvements

A sewer main that runs through The Golf Club Fossil Creek will be rehabilitated and a new sewer main will be constructed to run parallel to the existing main.

Village Creek Facility - Thickener Process Improvements

Existing dissolved air floatation sludge thickeners will be replaced, and modification or rehabilitation of the existing sludge thickener clarifiers will be made.

Village Creek Facility Biosolids Management and Beneficial Reuse

Fort Worth is changing the current method of repurposing biosolids at the Village Creek Water Reclamation Facility.

Village Creek Lift Station and Grit Removal

This project is to construct a 145 MGD (million gallons per day) pump station and force main to direct the Village Creek Basin (south) flow to the existing Headworks Facility to combine with the West Basin (west) flow ahead of the grit removal facility at the Village Creek Water Reclamation Facility.

Walnut Creek Sewer Extension

The Walnut Creek sewer extension will provide sanitary sewer service for future development.

Water and Sewer Improvements - I35W Service Road to Sycamore Creek

Water and sewer mains will be replaced in a project area bound by the railroad and Morningside Park to the north, Sycamore Creek to the east, Fogg Street to the south and I-35W to the west. Landmarks include Echo Lake and the Worth Heights Community Center. This Fort Worth Water capital improvement project is in Fort Worth Council District 8 and Fort Worth Council District 11.

Watercress Low Pressure Sewer Improvements

The area around Lake Worth was previously served by water wells and septic systems. Improvements include installation of a low pressure sewer system and individual grinder pumps.

Wedgwood and South Hills Water and Sewer Improvements

Sewer lines will be rehabilitated in streets and alleys in the Wedgwood and South Hills area neighborhoods.

West Fork Basin Parallel Relief Sewer Line

A 36-inch parallel relief sewer line will be installed.

West Fork Collector Parallel Phase 1

An existing 90-inch in diameter sewer main will be rehabilitated and a the West Fork Collector Parallel Phase 1 will be constructed.

West Fork Trinity River Sewer Relief Line

A 60-inch relief sanitary sewer line will be constructed parallel to the existing 72-inch West Fork interceptor to address system capacity issues in the West Fork Basin.

West Long Avenue Infrastructure Improvements

Water and sanitary sewer lines will be replaced in an area that is north of Menefee Avenue, east of NW 27th Street, south of Kearney Avenue and west of Angle Avenue.

West Side and Ridglea Area Water and Sewer Improvements

Water and sanitary sewer mains will be replaced in an area bound by Normandale Street and W Loop 820 South to the west, Clarke Avenue to the north, Simondale Drive and Texas Christian University to the east and West Berry Street to the south.

Westcliff and Westcliff West Area Water and Sewer Improvements

Westcliff, Como, Bluebonnet and Stop 6 Infrastructure Improvements

The Westcliff, Como, Bluebonnet and Stop 6 Infrastructure Improvement project includes three areas in three council districts. The project sites are south of I-30/West Freeway, east of Camp Bowie Boulevard, northwest of Granbury Road and west of East Loop 820 South.

Westcliff, Foster Park, Overton & Summerfields Area Improvements

Existing water and sewer mains will be replaced in an area bound by Sunnybank Drive at Western Center Boulevard to the north, Overton Ridge Boulevard to the west, South Drive to the south and Trail Lake Drive to the east.

Westridge Avenue Area Water and Sewer Improvements

Sanitary sewer mains and water mains will be replaced in an area bound by Camp Bowie Boulevard to the north, Bryant Irvin Road to the east, W. Vickery Boulevard to the south and Edgehill Road to the west. This capital improvement project is in Fort Worth Council District 3.

Westside III 24-inch Water Transmission Main

The 24-inch diameter Westside III 24-inch water transmission main will be constructed perpendicular to the proposed 36-inch diameter Westside III water transmission main that will extend from the Westside Water Treatment Plant on Old Weatherford Road to just south of I-20.

Westside III 42-inch Water Transmission Main

A 42-inch diameter water transmission main will be constructed between the Westside Water Treatment Plant to the north to the water ground storage tank site just south of I-20.

Westside IV Elevated Storage Tank & 36-inch Water Transmission Main

An elevated storage tank will be constructed to provide additional water storage capacity and a 36-inch water transmission main will be installed to pump/provide the needed water to the elevated storage tank.

Westside Pressure Plane & Water Improvements

New water mains will be installed in streets and in easements on the west side of Fort Worth to alleviate low water pressure issues. In addition, part of one westside pressure plane (Westside 2) will be transferred to an adjacent westside pressure plane (Westside 3) that has a higher operating pressure. Construction is south of I-30, east of Loop 820 and west of Alta Mere Drive/Benbrook Highway.
