Water & Sanitary Sewer Imrpovements

Existing water and sewer mains on two Fort Worth streets will be replaced in an area bound by East Berry Street to the north and east, Virgil Street to the south and Hatcher Street to the west.

Landmarks include the East Berry Library, AM Pate Elementary School, Pate Park, and Village Creek Wellness and Rehabilitation.

The streets include:

  • Reed Street from Village Creek Road to East Berry Street (water and sewer)
  • Hatcher Street from East Berry Street to  Wiman Drive (water and sewer)

This project was created as part of the cast iron pipe initiative to reduce the amount of water main breaks. Fort Worth Water management has committed to replacing a minimum of 20 miles of cast iron pipe every year.

This Fort Worth Water capital improvement project is in Fort Worth Council District 11. Construction may impact the adjacent neighborhood associations – Stop 6/Poly Oversight and Stop 6 Sunrise Edition.

During the design phase this project was named the Stop 6 and Historic Rosedale Water and Sewer Improvement project. To see the Council District 5 part of that project go to Stop 6 and Historic Rosedale Water and Sewer Improvements project
